Cooking Up a New Business in Houston
Meet Nimisha and Sonit Seth, the new franchise business owners of Sticky Fingers Cooking® in Houston West, Texas.

The Sticky Fingers Cooking® franchise opportunity found Nimisha and Sonit Seth of Sugar Land, Texas, when they weren’t even looking for it.
“We received an email for new business opportunities,” Sonit explains. “Normally, I get tons of emails about franchise opportunities and I delete them, but this one caught my attention.”
The more they learned, the more this idea resonated for them. “It wasn’t just another business pitch, it was about teaching kids how to cook,” recalls Sonit.
From the World to Houston
Nimisha lived on three different continents in diverse environments as a child and has a network of friends from all over, including Poland, Turkey, Italy, and the Czech Republic.
“I remember visiting their homes and tasting incredible homemade dishes,” she recalls. “I wish I had learned their recipes, but as a kid, all I cared about was having fun. So being part of a program that helps kids discover world cuisines in such a fun way is personally meaningful to me. I wish I could join these classes myself!”
Sonit is from Boston, Massachusetts, and when he moved to Houston happily discovered a foodie city, what he calls a “culinary treasure,” with international and regional diversity. Working in real estate sales and development he has observed the planning of communities that are hungry for creative educational experiences.
“The constant evolution of Sticky Fingers Cooking’s recipes that are inspired by cuisines from around the world makes this business a perfect fit for Houston’s neighborhoods,” he says.
The couple, along with their teenage daughters have explored many corners of the world together and share a deep love for travel.

“We’re fully immersed in the rollercoaster of the teenage years,” Nimisha says of her daughters who enjoy playing basketball. When they’re not cheering them on from the sidelines, the family explores the world and its different cuisines.
“We love immersing ourselves in new cultures, local food, and the stories that make each city come alive,” Nimisha shares.
Next Adventure: Franchise Business Ownership
Their passion for travel and global flavors aligns perfectly with SFC’s mission of
teaching international recipes, which is one of the reasons Nimisha says that they were attracted to Sticky Fingers Cooking.

“What I adore about Nimisha and Sonit is their passion for all cuisines and how they want to bring this to the schoolkids in Sugar Land and Houston West,” says Erin Fletter, Founder and CEO of Sticky Fingers Cooking®. “These two are business savvy, kind-hearted, and hard-working, all of which will benefit them as new franchise business owners! We are beyond thrilled to welcome them to the team and I look forward to seeing them thrive!”
Sonit says that the Sticky Fingers Cooking business model’s reasonable startup costs and no requirement for building out a brick-and-mortar location were appealing.
“I was nervous about completely changing careers after 21 years in Corporate America,” Nimisha admits. “But the training and hands-on experience from SFC made the process enjoyable instead of stressful.” She has worked as a consultant in U.S. and global markets, where she developed an appreciation for “efficiency through standardized processes.”
“The pre-established processes, tools, and ready-to-use templates are a game changer,” she says. “They help new owners like us quickly learn the ropes and focus on smooth execution from day one.” She is excited to leverage her consulting and project management experience.
“We’re very excited to be part of the Sticky Fingers Cooking family,” says Nimisha. “It’s important to work with people who are truly invested in your success and who you genuinely enjoy collaborating with. The team brings that to the table!”
Plus, there’s the joy of working with kids in the classroom. “The best part is watching kids light up when they make something delicious,” says Sonit. “During our ‘Meet the Team Day,’ we attended a local class where the kids made German pancakes. It wasn’t just about the food — it was the excitement, teamwork, and pride on their faces.”
Sticky Fingers Cooking® is expanding across the country and there are more education franchise opportunities available. Start here to see our map and where you might be able to invest in your own business, like the Seths have done.
